Doing Our Best Is All we Can Do
We've all been under extreme pressure at some time in our life. There are times when we are so heavy by tasks and responsibilities that there is simply very little time to prepare for our service to God.
The apostle Paul encouraged the Thessalonian brothers to give their all to God.
1 Thessalonians 5:14-22 They were to exhort, warn, comfort, rejoice, pray, and express their gratitude to God.
We too should strive to always do our best in our Christian life and service. But when the pressure periods come and we just don't have the time we feel we need, we should do the best we can and then prayerfully trust God's faithfulness to take care of the rest.
1 Thessalonians 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it
It’s The Things On The Inside That Matter
Shopping for a good watermelon is difficult because no matter how good it looks on the outside, it’s hard to tell what it’s really like on the inside.
We can tap it,thump it and squeeze it, only to take it home and discover that the inside is not edible.
On one occasion when Jesus’ disciples did not wash their hands before eating, the Pharisees became extremely irritated because it violated one of their man-made
traditions (Mark 7:1-8). Jesus immediately challenged them by
saying:“All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition” (Mark 7:9).
He went so far as to call them “hypocrites” (Mark 7:6)
and explained that what comes from the inside of an individual is what “defiles” him, not the other way around (Mark 7:14-2)
If we’re not careful, we can become so absorbed with looking good on the outside, that we forget what really counts. In fact, when we get to the place where we think "we've arrived,"we may become proud of ourselves and judgmental toward others. Harboring bitterness, clinging to critical attitudes, and thinking too highly of ourselves are the kind of defiling things that make us guilty of Jesus’ charge of being a “hypocrite.”
The point is this: It’s the things on the inside of our heart, our thoughts and attitudes that really matter to the Lord ( 2 Corinthians 10:5; John 4:23-24).
**There Is None Like Him
Man was created in the image of his Creator – God. Sadly, the root of sin has instilled a rebellious desire in man to be like God and even surpass Him. But, there is none like Him. God has unlimited power, knowledge and authority. God reigns and His glory covers the heavens and fill the earth. God calls the beginning from the end and the end from the beginning.
Who or What can be more than God?
Can you tell who is like God who speaks the truth and fulfills His words? There is none more true than God. There is only one true God, and before Him no god was formed, nor another god to be there after Him. God will achieve all His counsel from all generations to make His presence and love for man available through His beloved Son, Jesus Christ.
Can there be anyone holier than God? Man is called to holiness, but it is far from being equal to God’s holiness. Even the holiest of men is imperfect because of sin. God’s nature is without iniquity, there is none more holy than Him.
Is there something that exists which is greater than God? As the original cause and source of everything, there is none greater than God. To say that nothing within the universe can be greater than God is a statement of supremacy and power.
Can there be a match to the mercy of God? God’s goodness is the result of His love for man. What kind of love is this? It is the kind of love that is not like anything found on earth. He has given you His all, even His most beloved Son, to redeem you. Despite sin, God continues to love, accept and meet you where you are. It is love beyond understanding. Nothing can be more merciful than God and nothing can cause God to love you any less. God loves you more than you love yourself.
Sharing the Expression of God’s Divinity
God created man. He is everything you need to accomplish what He plans for you to do. His goal is to get you to where He is.

It’s important to remember that yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is called the present and it is a gift from God. It would be a shame to let it pass unobserved, unappreciated and unseized.
Living in the Moment
Life is happening at the moment. It unfolds right before your eyes. But, so often, you tend to let the present slip away without enjoying what it offers. When you’re at work, you imagine yourself having a grand time on vacation, and while on vacation, you worry about the work you left behind. Your mind is too involved on intrusive thoughts of the past and agonizes on what may or may not happen in the future. Live in the moment and be mindful of what God is allowing you to experience at hand.
Living in the moment means savoring the precious seconds of your life. Each day consists of 86,400 seconds to spend for living. How much of it did you use for wishing you live in a beautiful place without realizing you’re already there? Do you spend some of it hoping you don’t miss the deadline at work while relishing a nice breakfast with the family? Are you trapped in yesterday’s thoughts or tomorrow’s concerns that you can’t spare a few seconds to say “Thank you” to the person who held the door open for you? Each second is an opportunity for you to see what God has given you for the day.

** I See God Every Day - Do You?
Any ordinary human being may find it difficult to grasp the presence of an invisible being. It is especially true for us who were created by God whom we have not seen face to face. But, how come some people say they see God every day? If others can
profess to seeing God, can you? How can you come to the knowledge that there is God and that He is present in your everyday life?
Seeing God around You
God is undoubtedly present everywhere. You will know it from the moment you wake up in the morning to the time you close your eyes at the end of the day, God manifests Himself in plentiful ways to stir your awareness about His existence.
Perhaps when hearing the chirping of the birds in the morning, you feel pleasantly amazed to be awakened into a brand new day. As you look at the brilliant sunrise you know no artist can paint it except the masterful hand of a Supreme Creator.
While viewing the trees, do you ever wonder why the branches stop growing at a certain height to receive enough air? While walking down the beach, do you imagine a divine power holding the waves far back in reaching the shore? Does your heart melt at the sight of a baby’s smile?
If these thoughts animate you, it’s because God is allowing you to experience His presence not only through nature, but even in the trivial aspects of your daily life. God is responsible for everything that your senses can experience. Awareness of the presence of God is an important foundation of spiritual life.
Being Intimate with God
